Wabi Sabi(wahbee – sahbee) is a Japanese concept that refers to items of great natural charm and simplicity. It is used to describe things as diverse as Zen gardens, pottery and flower arrangements.
At Wabi Sabi, our aim is to provide you not only with gifts… but with an experience that will bring you lasting joy. The primary goal of Wabi Sabi is to provide retail training for young people with a disability while showcasing their skills and building awareness of their abilities.
With the shop located in the main street of Palmwoods, the majority of our products are handcrafted by our Compass trainees. The food items, condiments, jams etc. are created by our Harvest Kitchen team using organic produce grown on the Compass Farm right here in Palmwoods. All the seedlings and plants are grown at our ‘Green Thumbs’ Nursery also located on Compass Farm.
The money you spend at Wabi Sabi goes directly to assisting Compass in its goal of providing further education, skills based training and vocational pathways for young people with disabilities here on the Sunshine Coast.
